Get Started with Projects inside Aritic Sales CRM



To help manage expenses you can record expenses, track timesheets against the Project, tasks, and set project budgets. If you are charging a client for the job, you have the flexibility to charge fixed amounts as work is completed and set time-based billable prices. Set Hourly rates for every team member.


Projects list


On the projects list page you will see the columns in a table as under: 


  • Name: Title or Name of Project
  • Client: Name of the Client
  • Team: Team members assigned to the Project
  • Budget: The Percentage of used budget (Includes project estimated hours)
  • Total Time: The Total time spent for the Project
  • Total Amount: The Current total cost of the Project
  • Expenses: The Total expenses of the Project


Create Projects


Go to the Project’s tab on the primary sidebar, and now tap on the +Create button to create a new project. It will open the Project to create a page with a series of text and numerical inputs.

The form includes:


  • Name: Title or Name of Project 
  • Client: Choose the relevant Client from the client list.
  • Progress: Client progress in (0-100)
  • Team: Selection of Team members.
  • Start Date: The Start Date of Project
  • Due Date: Expected end date of the Project
  • Currency: The Currency applied in the Project
  • Billing Method: There are four primary billing methods, and each of them mentioned as under:
  • Est. Hours: Estimated number of hours worked for the Project
  • Description: The Summary of the Project
  • Project Settings: Per project settings to enable/disable on client section
  • Tags: You can give various badges to projects by entering them directly in the provided field, e.g., logos, design and so




While creating a new project, you can make a new client. Click on the link of New Client, situated on the right side of the Client field. A pop-up modal will open, to enable you to complete the new ‘client’s information. Then you can continue creating the Project for this new Client.


The Billing Methods

Staff Rate Per Hour


If you have Staff in the account, their rate depends on how much your Client pays you regardless of the Task the hours logged. This method is handy when you have multiple Staff working on a Project with different rates.


Task Rate Per Hour


Your Client will be charged based on the Tasks assigned to the Project. It ‘doesn’t matter who tracked the time; only the Task Rate counts. This method is handy if you charge different rates for different Tasks regardless of who did the work.


Project Rate Per Hour


It ‘doesn’t matter who tracked the time, or which Task selected, your Client will always pay at one consistent rate for that Project.


Fixed Project Amount


It ‘doesn’t matter how many hours logged, the Project will always pay at the Flat Project Amount. You can set the Flat Project Amount from the Edit Project screen.


Time Entries


Manual Entry


  • To manually enter time, click on Time Entry button.
  • Choose a task from the dropdown list (optional).
  • Enter time in the format of  {hours}:{minutes}:{seconds} i.e 02:20:40 means 2 hour, 20minutes and 40 seconds.
  • Alternatively, you can select a start time and end time by checking Use start and End Dates checkbox.
  • Enter time entry description and choose whether ‘it’s billable or unbillable.

Click Save when completed.


Start Timer


To start the project timer.


  • Click on the green stopwatch icon at the top bar of the project overview page.
  • Running timers will show on the top navigation of the CRM section.
  • Click on the red spinning clock icon that appears at the top bar of the project overview page to stop the timer.

Invoice Project


In Aritic Sales  CRM, you and your team can track your time to Projects. Those Projects assigned to individual Clients, and you can Invoice your Clients quickly based on that tracked time by generating an Invoice respective of time entries given on it.



To generate an invoice.


  • Open the project dashboard and click on button more/ellipsis (…) at the top bar of the project page.
  • Click Invoice to invoice your Project.
  • The total unbilled time will show on the modal.
  • If there are unbilled expenses, are listed for inclusion.
  • Select how you want the time entries display  (format) on your Invoice – you can pick Task per line or Single Line.


Click on Save to generate project invoice.




Mark billed time entries as Billed.


The Duplicate Project


Click on the ellipsis/more button to duplicate a project and select elements to copy, i.e., tasks, comments, issues, expenses, etc. A new project generated is similar to the duplicated Project.

PDF Preview


You can download a project summary as PDF by clicking on ellipsis/more button and select PDF.  A PDF document downloaded with the projects summary, i.e., Tasks and Time Entries.



To mark a project as complete. Click Done accessible via the ellipsis/more button.


Bulk Actions


If you need to act for several projects, you can do it within a click with the bulk action feature. To use the bulk action feature, mark the relevant projects in their checkbox at the far left of the projects list. Once ‘you’ve marked the projects, select an action to perform on them in the buttons below the projects list page.


  • Invoice: Invoice selected projects.
  • Archive: Archive selected projects.
  • Delete: Delete selected projects.
