Setup Mailbox Monitoring inside Aritic PinPoint

You can monitor email replies from your contact inside Aritic PinPoint and use this feature to take decision within Automation Workflow. To use this feature, you need to configure your mailbox (email IMAP account) inside Aritic PinPoint advance email settings. After you have configured your mailbox inside Aritic PinPoint and tested it, then Aritic PinPoint can easily read the incoming emails from the contacts stored inside Contacts of Aritic PinPoint.

1. To Setup Mailbox Monitoring feature inside Aritic PinPoint; follow these steps:

Navigate to Setting > Advance Settings > Email Setting > Monitored Inbox Settings from the top right menu.

Inside Monitored Inbox Settings;  you can configure your own Mailbox IMAP settings accordingly for Default Mailbox, Bounces, Unsubscribe Requests, Contact Replies setups.

a. Default Mailbox:

Aritic PinPoint will read the the mailbox configured inside this default setting. You can keep the email mailbox which you use to receive email the contacts. Mostly the “reply-to” email mailbox which you use within segment based email campaign and email templates.

Note: You can keep the same mailbox for Bounces, Unsubscribe Requests, Contact Replies monitoring or you can configure separate mailbox for each.

If you plan to configure separate folder for each, then follow these setup:

b. Bounces:

Configure this folder to monitor for new bounce email messages. You can select the folder from “Default Mailbox” or you can configure a new mailbox, depending up on your requirement, within this setting.

To configure a new mailbox for reading bounce emails, select “Yes” inside “Use custom connection settings?” and add the mailbox IMAP settings.

When this folder/ Mailbox is configured, Aritic PinPoint will read the incoming email request and will put the contact in DND if the email bounce.

c. Unsubscribe Requests:

Configure this folder to monitor for new Unsubscribe email messages. You can select the folder from “Default Mailbox” or you can configure a new mailbox, depending up on your requirement, within this setting.

To configure a new mailbox for reading Unsubscribe Requests emails, select “Yes” inside “Use custom connection settings?” and add the mailbox IMAP settings.

When this folder/ Mailbox is configured, Aritic PinPoint will read the incoming unsubscribe email request and will put the contact in DND if the contact have requested to unsubscribe from the email coming from your Aritic PinPoint account.

d. Contact Replies:

If you want to exclusively configure a Mailbox folder from the “Default Mailbox” setting then you can select the folder or if you want to add another email mailbox to track the contact email replies, then you can add the additional IMAP setting here.

To configure a new mailbox for reading Contact reply emails, select “Yes” inside “Use custom connection settings?” and add the mailbox IMAP settings.

Configuring these IMAP mailbox setting are complex. Do connect with Aritic customer success team and they will help you with these relevant configurations.

Note: These Mailbox settings will not work for monitoring public email mailboxes, for example (gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.) email mailboxes can’t be monitored/ read.
